Boys 4 Real

Worried about making new friends in high school? Wondering how you're going to survive homework assignments, find new activities, become more independent and keep a positive outlook on life?

Boys 4 Real youth programBoys 4 Real is an after-school program designed to help Grade 7 boys in their transition to high school. It is held over a seven-week period and is jam-packed with games and activities and opportunities to use video cameras. Sessions include Kick Off, Stay Strong, Analyze This, Game Plan and loads more. The program helps the boys to feel more confident in themselves and prepares them for the challenges of moving into high school.

Boys 4 Real is presented by YWCA Vancouver in partnership with the Vancouver School Board and the University of British Columbia's TREK Program. TREK students are fun undergraduate students who are becoming community leaders. They facilitate the program in schools and are great resource, answering the boys' questions and giving them tips and skills to help build their confidence to succeed in high school.
