Camp Fun Girl is a one-week day-camp for girls aged 9 to 13 that takes place every summer at YWCA Vancouver for 2 weeks. Now in its 10th year, the camp runs from July 19 to 23 and July 26 to 30, 2010. Registration starts in April.
The camp supports the YWCA’s strategy to provide healthy choices for youth. The aim of the camp is to empower girls through a variety of fun outdoor activities, workshops and peer learning. It helps girls develop the strength, knowledge and skills to address the issues they face as they become teenagers.

Camp Fun Girl features fun indoor and outdoor activities. From exploring a treetop walkway to hip hop dancing, girls will enjoy fun challenges to help promote a sense of achievement and greater self-confidence.
At the YWCA Health + Fitness Centre, the girls participate in a variety of physical activities, including Swim to Survive, dance and team games, to show them the importance of having a healthy body and mind and also demonstrate how much fun physical activity can be!
Activities are taken from the Welcome to My Life after-school program to initiate discussion on topics such as healthy relationships, personal and internet safety, body image and self-esteem.
