Capers Whole Foods Market keeps on giving to YWCA Crabtree Corner

Capers Whole Foods Market, a longtime supporter of YWCA Metro Vancouver, regularly gives back to local communities by providing support to local non-profit organizations. On December 10, 2008, YWCA Metro Vancouver was once again the recipient of the company’s generosity, when Capers Whole Foods Market locations in Metro Vancouver donated five percent of the day’s sales to Crabtree Corner Early Learning and Care.

Over the course of the day, YWCA staff, volunteers and donors helped customers decorate gingerbread men and make holiday decorations. The day’s sales garnered $16,766.25 for YWCA Crabtree Corner Early Learning and Care, where the money will be used to purchase food and learning supplies for children.

Capers Whole Foods Market has also supported Crabtree Corner by donating food vouchers for single mothers and their children, as well as giving food to the community kitchen. Staff volunteer their time, and each year they sponsor low-income families through the YWCA’s holiday hamper program.
