YWCA employment centres work with thousands of jobseekers a year, offering workshops and one-to-one consultations to prepare them for the job market and keep them up to date with the latest hiring trends.

Our clients have diverse levels of experience, from those who are looking for their first job to experienced professionals who are looking to build their careers.

Free job posting boards

Send us your job announcements and information on employment opportunities, and we will post them on our job boards viewed by hundreds of jobseekers daily.

We also post a selection of job postings on our website, updated bi-weekly, which sees 3,500 views a month, and our employment web pages are among the top-ranked search results for employment centres.

Hiring fairs and tailored recruiting events

YWCA employment centres organize several large hiring fairs a year as well as many individual recruiting events on an as needed basis.

• YWCA hiring fairs are organized several times a year and are attended by some of the top companies in Vancouver, both large and small. Participation is free and the YWCA also covers all advertising costs (a $1,500 value – for FREE).
• YWCA employment centres also host tailored individual recruiting events to assist employers with their more immediate recruiting needs. The space is provided for free and the events are promoted internally within the organization, while the employers handle any external advertising and promotion of the events.

In helping our clients prepare for their careers, YWCA employment centres host a variety of industry panels and assist in setting up one-to-one informational interviews with companies and industry experts.
