Ismaili Walk for YWCA Cause We Care House

Ismaili Walk 2013 is on Sunday, September 22.

On September 23rd, 2012 more than 1,500 people came out to support the Ismaili Walk 2012 for YWCA Cause We Care House, a partnership between the Ismaili Council for BC and YWCA Metro Vancouver. 

The 2012 Ismaili Walk raised $250,000 to support YWCA Metro Vancouver's Cause We Care House—a safe, affordable housing community for low-income single moms and their children in the Downtown Eastside/Strathcona area of Vancouver. ismailiwalk.org

About the event
The Ismaili Walk is a non-competitive, family-friendly 5-km walk around the Stanley Park Seawall. There is a shorter route for kids and seniors.

Where and when
Sunday, September 22, 2013. Starts 11:00am at Lumberman’s Arch in Stanley Park.

Event entertainment
Relax and enjoy live entertainment, savour delicious food, or run it all off while playing with the kids in free activities for the whole family.


YWCA Cause We Care House will offer a continuation of services currently provided at YWCA Crabtree Corner.

    Only $2.3 million remains to be raised in the capital campaign for YWCA Cause We Care House. The YWCA is actively engaged in a $10 million capital campaign to build YWCA Cause We Care House, a portion of which will be invested in an endowment fund to support the ongoing operating costs of the housing.
