Registering with Employment Agencies
Recruitment and temp agencies help connect jobseekers to employers. These agencies work closely with companies to understand the type of employee they are seeking and make matches from their database of applicants based on these criteria.
When looking for employees, some employers will hire recruiting agencies to help them screen candidates. Most agencies offer both permanent and contract positions while others focus on temporary jobs. It is important to note that recruiting agencies obtain their payment directly from the employer and not from the candidate. There should be no cost to register or obtain employment with an employment agency.
As in all aspects of job search, it is important to not rely on one job search method, so you should also conduct your own job search independently and not solely rely on the recruitment and temp agencies for work. It is also important to keep in close contact with employment agencies to show initiative and availability.
