Melanie and Candy
When Candy Lee, a grade 12 student, met Melanie Greenaway, industrial designer, she couldn’t have been more excited. Her YWCA mentor is one of the creative masterminds behind Storyeum – a “magical history tour” – one of Vancouver’s tourist attractions from 2004 to 2006.

Melissa and Shayleen
Shayleen was in grade 12 at Riverside Secondary when she signed up for the YWCA Mentorship Program offered through the Career Centre at her school. Becoming a police officer has been a career dream for Shayleen, so she was thrilled when she found out that she was matched up with Melissa, a police officer with the Vancouver City Police.
