YWCA Munroe House

At this lunch event we heard from a single mother who is a resident at YWCA Munroe House. Eight years ago she moved to Canada from India and soon married but, unfortunately, found her husband increasingly abusive. When she saw how the abuse was adversely affecting her child, she left the relationship and found safe refuge at Munroe House.

A Vancouver police officer with the Domestic Violence Unit also joined us.
