YWCA Vancouver Fall 2010 Youth Leadership Opportunities

Our youth programs, Welcome to My Life™ and Boys 4 Real™, work to build self-esteem and confidence in grade 7 girls and boys, affording them essential life skills and the requisite tools to successfully transition to high school. Programs run side-by-side and are delivered over seven weeks in select elementary schools throughout Metro Vancouver. Programs are led and delivered by a team of two student facilitators, one high school mentor and a Wisdom Champion™ mentor.

High school mentors are local secondary students in Grades 10-12 who support the volunteer team in the delivery of the programs. High school mentors volunteer their time to share insight into the life of a high school student and act as a positive role model. We welcome friends who would like to volunteer side-by-side.
