Piano Teacher
Location: Como Lake, Coquitlam, BC
Como Lake Gardens is our newest housing community for single mothers and their children. We are currently looking for female piano teachers who can teach to children.

YWCA Metro Vancouver Youth Leadership Opportunities
YWCA Metro Vancouver’s Youth Education Team is committed to giving youth the tools they need to make healthy choices.
Our youth programs, Welcome to My Life and Boys 4 Real, work to build self-esteem and confidence in Grade 7 girls and boys, affording them essential life skills and the requisite tools to successfully transition to high school. Programs run side-by-side and are delivered over eight weeks in select elementary schools throughout Metro Vancouver and Richmond. Programs are led and delivered by a team of two Facilitators, one High School Mentor, and an adult Wisdom Champion Mentor.
Wisdom Champion Mentors are mature adult mentors with diverse career and life experience who volunteer their time and knowledge to support, encourage, and share stories with the program facilitators and the Grade 7 participants.
Facilitator, Youth Education Programs
Location: Cloverdale, South Surrey and White Rock
Our youth programs in Surrey, That’s Just Me and Boys 4 Real, work to build self-esteem and confidence in Grade 7 girls and boys, supporting them to develop essential life skills and the requisite tools to successfully transition to high school. Programs run side-by-side and are delivered over eight weeks in select schools throughout Surrey. Programs are led and delivered by a team of two Facilitators, one or two High School Mentor, and an adult Wisdom Champion Mentor.
Facilitators are typically university/college aged students who volunteer their time to deliver the eight week programs. They act as role models, lead the program activities and share their life experience with the program participants.
High School Aged Mentors
Location: Cloverdale, South Surrey and White Rock
Our youth programs in Surrey, That’s Just Me and Boys 4 Real, work to build self-esteem and confidence in Grade 7 girls and boys, affording them essential life skills and the requisite tools to successfully transition to high school. Programs run side-by-side and are delivered over eight weeks in select elementary schools throughout Surrey. Programs are led and delivered by a team of two Facilitators, one High School Mentor, and an adult Wisdom Champion Mentor.
High School Mentors are local secondary students in Grades 10-12 who support the volunteer team in the delivery of the programs. High School Mentors volunteer their time to share insight into the life of a high school student and act as a positive role model. We welcome friends who would like to volunteer together. Preference will be given to volunteers from neighbouring high schools: Clayton Heights, Tweedsmuir, Semiahmoo and Earl Marriott Secondary (or close by).

Are you a professional WOMAN established in your career? Do you have a few hours a month to share with a mentee? You can share your skills, passion and professional expertise through Connect to Success. Connect to Success is looking for women from a wide variety fields, including entrepreneurship, business, health care, science, arts & design and others to become mentors. As a mentor, you can help a woman who is entering or re-entering the workforce, in a professional or skilled field.

YWCA Como Lake Gardens is located in Coquitlam, our newest housing community for single mothers and their children. We are currently looking for two to four volunteer child minders.
